Gitane = barbadillo manzanilla sherry, seasonal house
shrub (what the what?), and lemon peel. This cocktail easily made my Top 5 Favorite on this list, it was like no other cocktail I've ever had. It was super savory, vinegar-y, citrusy, low in alcohol, a great apertif that gets you literally salivating. I imagine this would be wonderful with lightly fried salt cod or some slices of jamon de serrano. Mmmmm, my mouth is watering right now just thinking about it! It was so smooth and soothing on my throat, it almost had a medicinal/botantical healing power to it, almost like a Spanish gypsy concocted it..... It was awesome, I can't wait to go back and get it again!
