Whiskey Cocktail @ The Slanted Door =
buffalo trace bourbon, angostura and orange bitters, gum syrup, orange peel served on a hand cut cube. This drink was stiff, rich, robust, oaky citrusy, and it came with the most beaaaautiful hand carved ice cube. Hand cut ice cubes reminds me of
Portlandia's spoof on the 1890's...."remember when everyone used to carve their own ice cubes" "I thought that died out 120 years ago." So snarky and amazing.
